About Recreation Jewels
Recreation Jewels is one of the UK's fastest growing independent jewellery brands.
Founded in 2023 by Ranee Karmakharm whilst studying at the University of Edinburgh, we've grown from packing orders in a student flat to building a business with a flagship Edinburgh store, headquarters, warehouse, private Charm Bar and a growing online community of over 70,000 people across our social channels.
Our Edinburgh store isn't just a jewellery shop. It's a place where people discover new collections, build charm bracelets, celebrate birthdays, plan hen parties and experience the Recreation Jewels community in person.
We're looking for enthusiastic, friendly and hardworking Shop Assistants who are passionate about creating exceptional customer experiences and want to be part of an exciting, fast growing brand.
About The Role
This is much more than a traditional retail role.
As a Shop Assistant, you'll be one of the first people our customers meet when they visit Recreation Jewels. You'll play a huge part in creating a welcoming, exciting and memorable shopping experience, ensuring every customer leaves feeling genuinely looked after.
You'll help customers discover new jewellery, style pieces together, build charm bracelets, answer product questions and share your enthusiasm for the brand.
No two days are the same. One day you could be helping customers find the perfect gift, the next creating TikTok content, restocking new arrivals, supporting a busy launch day or helping at one of our community events.

Customer Experience
Deliver an exceptional customer experience to every person who visits our store.
Confidently welcome customers, offer styling advice and help them find jewellery they'll love.
Build genuine relationships with customers, creating a warm and friendly shopping environment.
Go above and beyond to make every visit memorable.
Become knowledgeable about our collections so you can confidently answer customer questions and provide recommendations.
Sales & Styling
Help customers style jewellery and create personalised stacks based on their individual style.
Understand our collections, best sellers and new arrivals so you can confidently recommend products.
Support the team in achieving daily sales targets whilst always putting the customer experience first.
Look for opportunities to increase basket value through thoughtful product recommendations rather than pressured selling.
Charm Bar
Support customers using our in store Charm Bar by helping them create personalised jewellery.
Offer creative suggestions and styling advice whilst making the experience enjoyable and memorable.
Help prepare charms, chains and displays throughout the day, ensuring everything remains beautifully presented.
Store Presentation
Maintain exceptional visual merchandising standards throughout the store.
Ensure products are beautifully displayed, fully stocked and presented to the highest standard.
Help keep the shop clean, organised and welcoming at all times.
Support new launches, window displays and seasonal merchandising updates.
Operations
Process transactions accurately using our point of sale system.
Support stock replenishment, deliveries and inventory management.
Assist with opening and closing procedures.
Help maintain the smooth day to day running of the store.
Work closely with the wider team to ensure every shift runs efficiently.
Content & Community
Confidently appear in social media content when required.
Support content creation by filming TikToks, Reels and behind the scenes moments in store.
Help create an exciting atmosphere during events, launches and community activations.
Represent Recreation Jewels with enthusiasm both in store and online.

Requirements
Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A friendly, confident and approachable personality.
Ability to work weekends and busy seasonal periods.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Passion for fashion, jewellery, retail or customer experience.

Location
This role is based at our flagship store on 20 Thistle Street, Edinburgh.
You'll also occasionally support events and activities at our headquarters on 44 Hanover Street, including our private Charm Bar, launches and community events.
