The Edinburgh Fringe is one of our favourite times of the year. Every August, the city comes alive with incredible performances, visitors from around the world and an unforgettable atmosphere.

At Recreation Jewels, we wanted to create something that goes beyond shopping. Throughout the Fringe, we'll be transforming our Edinburgh Headquarters into a space where people can get creative, meet new people and experience something a little different between shows.

Whether you're visiting Edinburgh for the first time, spending the month performing at the Fringe or you're one of our wonderful local customers, we'd love to welcome you to one of our events.

A Month of Community Events

This year, we're hosting a packed calendar of weekly events designed to bring people together through creativity, conversation and community.

From jewellery workshops and matcha making to treasure hunts, vintage shopping and paint nights, every event has been created with one goal in mind: helping people make meaningful connections.

Many of our community members come along by themselves, and that's something we actively encourage. Our events are designed to be friendly, welcoming and social, making them the perfect place to meet like-minded people while enjoying a unique Edinburgh Fringe experience.

Matcha Making Workshops

Every Sunday | 11am – 12pm

Learn how to recreate the signature drinks from the Recreation Jewels Matcha Bar in an intimate hands-on workshop. Whether you're a complete beginner or already a matcha enthusiast, you'll learn the techniques behind our favourite recipes while meeting fellow matcha lovers.

Charm Workshops

Every Monday

Design your own personalised charm bracelet or necklace, complete with three charms for a fixed price of £40. Our team will be there to guide you through the process, making it the perfect creative activity for friends or solo visitors alike.

Treasure Hunt Tuesdays

Every Tuesday | Clues released at 12pm

One golden ticket. One winner.

Follow our clues across Edinburgh to find the hidden golden ticket before anyone else and win exclusive Recreation Jewels prizes, experiences and limited-edition summer merchandise.

Recreation Jewels Bingo Night

Every Thursday | 7:30pm

A brand new addition to our Fringe programme, our Bingo Nights combine classic bingo with exciting prizes from Recreation Jewels and some of our favourite independent Edinburgh businesses.

Paint & Sip Fridays

Every Friday | 7pm

One of our most popular community events returns for another year. Enjoy a relaxed evening of painting while sipping your choice of a handcrafted matcha latte or one of our signature coolers. Every week features a new painting theme, and you'll leave with your own personalised artwork.

Vintage Wonderland

Every Saturday | 12pm – 3pm

By popular demand, Vintage Wonderland is back. Browse rails of carefully curated vintage clothing and jewellery at our Edinburgh Headquarters. With new treasures arriving throughout the Fringe, every Saturday offers something different to discover.

Surprise Events Throughout the Fringe

Alongside our weekly schedule, we'll also be hosting a number of surprise pop-up events throughout the month.

We're keeping these under wraps for now, but expect exclusive workshops, collaborations, community gatherings and a few unexpected experiences that we can't wait to reveal.

Our Fringe Kick-Off Party

To celebrate the start of the Edinburgh Fringe, we're hosting our biggest community event of the summer.

On 8th August, we'll be welcoming Fringe performers, local creators, independent business owners and members of the Recreation Jewels community to our annual Fringe Kick-Off Party.

Expect an evening of music, free drinks, delicious nibbles, dancing and plenty of opportunities to meet new people before the Fringe gets into full swing.

This year, we're also opening invitations to our Instagram community. Simply keep an eye on our social media for your chance to be invited to one of our most anticipated events of the year.
