Description
Lyra's Star Earrings feature luminous star-shaped freshwater pearls suspended from classic huggie hoops for a playful yet refined finish. These gold star hoop earrings bring a subtle statement to everyday styling and pair effortlessly with other favourites.
Crafted from 316L medical grade stainless steel with 18k gold plating using PVD technology, these earrings are hypoallergenic and designed for comfortable everyday wear. The natural freshwater pearls make every pair unique, with slight variations in shape and lustre. To preserve the beauty of the pearls, avoid exposure to water, perfumes, and harsh chemicals. Available in both gold and silver finishes.
Shipping & Returns
Dispatch: orders placed before 3pm on working days are dispatched the same day. Orders after 3pm, at weekends or on bank holidays are dispatched the next working day.
UK delivery: Royal Mail Tracked 48 (2–3 working days), Tracked 24 (1–2 working days) or next-day Express, chosen at checkout. Tracked 48 is free on orders over £65; Tracked 24 and Express are charged as normal.
International: 2–11 working days. Free standard delivery on orders over £125. Duties may apply.
Returns: unworn pieces in their original packaging can be returned within 14 days of delivery. Faulty? Your jewellery is covered by our 90-day jewellery warranty for manufacturing faults, in addition to your statutory rights. See our refund policy.
Material & Care
Stainless steel: made from 316L stainless steel, which is hypoallergenic and suited to everyday wear. Gold versions are finished with 18k gold using a PVD coating for a longer-lasting colour.
To keep the finish looking its best, take it off before swimming, showering or exercising.
Care: put perfume, lotions and hairspray on before your jewellery, wipe it with a soft dry cloth after wearing and store it in its dustbag.

Your Questions Answered
Do I need to pay extra fees when ordering from the US?
Yes. Due to tariffs introduced under the Trump administration, all jewellery orders shipped to the US are subject to import duties and taxes. These fees are collected by customs in the US and are not included in your checkout total.
Who will contact me about these fees?
We ship US orders with our partner Evri. They manage the customs clearance process and will email you directly with the duty/tax amount to be paid before your parcel can be released.
Can I avoid paying duties and tariffs?
Unfortunately no — all US imports are subject to these rules. However, we’re actively working on ways to make the process smoother (and more affordable) for our customers in the future.

Are your products durable?
Our jewellery is made to be worn every day. Many of our pieces are made from 316L stainless steel, which is hypoallergenic and resistant to tarnish and corrosion. Our gold stainless steel pieces are finished with 18k gold using a PVD coating for a longer-lasting colour.
We also make pieces in 925 sterling silver and a few other materials. Sterling silver can naturally darken over time and needs a gentle polish now and then. Each product page lists its exact material and whether it is waterproof.
Can I return my order?
Yes — as long as items are unworn and returned within 14 days.
What if my item is faulty?
If something isn’t right, please email us at customerservice@recreationjewels.com with your order number and a photo, and we’ll resolve it for you as quickly as possible.
